Album review: 5×20 All the Best!! 2009-2019

Hello! I hope everyone is being safe out there and staying at home during this pandemic. Now, let’s get right to this. Today I’ll be reviewing an album that did amazing in their home country, Japan. This album is by a five-member boy group called Arashi (嵐) and it’s called All the Best!! 2009-2019.

The album includes four CD’s, each containing 16 songs. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get my hands on the physical album. These are tough times. However, I was able to make a playlist that includes all the songs in the album. If you’d like to check it out and form your own opinion just click here.

I’ve enjoyed some Japanese music, but most of what I listen to is Japanese alternative rock or Anime intros. Also, when it comes to J-pop I tend to listen to female groups and female solo artist, so this was different for me. Sadly, I wasn’t really into this album. It isn’t something I’d be into, and I definitely think it had a lot to do with the time it was released in. This album is mainly for those who’ve been huge fans of them back when they released music. However, a few tracks have that beat that come with it that makes it very infectious. You can help but bop your head to it and smile at the energetic beat.

It was difficult making a rank list since there were so many songs to pick from. I can’s just pick one song and call it a day. For this post I decided to include something a little different and that is my top ten songs on the album. I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I did.

  1. Calling
  2. Truth
  3. 誰も知らない
  4. I’ll Be There
  5. Breathless
  6. Your Eyes
  7. Endless Game
  8. Happiness
  9. Lotus
  10. ARASHI
